Job summary

Goodwill of Central & Northern Arizona is seeking an experienced accounting professional to supervise accounts payable and general ledger activities. The role ensures timely invoice payments, accurate GL reconciliations, and effective coordination with property landlords for rent/CAM payments.

The position requires strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to mentor staff. Familiarity with ERP systems and a background in high-volume AP are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in Accounting, Business, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable and/or general ledger accounting.
• Experience with high-volume accounts payable, best practices, procedural efficiencies, automation and internal controls.
• Proficiency with ERP systems; Workday experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accounts payable aging accuracy and timely issue resolution.
• Prepare rent and CAM payments for leased properties and communicate with landlords.
• Oversee 1099 preparation and filing.
• Mentor and supervise assigned team members; provide coaching and performance feedback.
• Review check runs for accuracy and compliance with company policy.
• Prepare general journal entries and reconcile assigned general ledger accounts.
• Identify process improvements and ensure policy adherence.
