Job summary

The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs seeks an Accounting Support Specialist to assist the Accounting Department with daily financial operations across multiple functions. Responsibilities include deposits, AP vendor setup, user access, COIs, monthly reporting, reconciliations, and compliance with internal controls.

Ideal candidate has an Associate or Bachelor’s in accounting/finance, familiarity with ERP/accounting software, and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business.
• Previous accounting/clerical or hospitality experience preferred; equivalent combination considered.
• Familiarity with property management systems, POS, or ERP/accounting software.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for documentation and email communication.
• High attention to detail and discretion with sensitive data.
• Team player with strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Able to lift, pull, or push up to 50 lbs with proper safety practices.
• Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare daily deposits and incoming wire transfer reports.
• Assist with vendor setup and maintenance in accounts payable systems.
• Set up and maintain user access within accounting and AP platforms.
• Support operations teams in resolving guest vehicle loss claims and related issues.
• Coordinate with third-party providers to obtain and track COIs.
• Provide administrative support to the VP of Finance and Controller.
• Monitor and replenish departmental office supplies.
• Assemble, distribute, and archive monthly financial reporting packages.
• Maintain organized records and file completed account reconciliations.
• Track and maintain all property licenses and related documentation.
• Audit employee and departmental expense reports for accuracy and compliance.
• Replenish and monitor electronic postage meter balances.
• Ensure compliance with Broadmoor guidelines and safety policies.
