Job summary

System One is assisting a growing company near Tulsa with a search for an Accounting Supervisor. This role leads core transactional accounting processes and helps keep day-to-day accounting activities running smoothly.

The role works closely with internal teams to support accurate reporting and timely processing. You will supervise accounts payable and accounts receivable, reconcile subledgers, support month-end close, and oversee tax-related compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3–5 years in Accounts Receivable and/or Accounts Payable; supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong GAAP-based accounting knowledge.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Positive work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily accounts receivable and accounts payable activities to ensure accurate, timely processing.
• Lead workflow management and support an efficient, service-oriented process for internal stakeholders, taking initiative to suggest process improvements.
• Reconcile subledgers and resolve discrepancies impacting payments or collections.
• Support month-end close activities, including reconciliations, reporting, and accruals.
• Ensure customer invoicing is accurate using shipping documents and milestone/progress billing data as applicable.
• Monitor customer credit limits and support actions that reduce bad debt exposure.
• Coordinate multi-state sales and use tax compliance, including taxability setup, return preparation, and remittance.
• Manage exemption/resale certificate collection and recordkeeping for tax-exempt customers.
