Job summary

Confidential Jobs is seeking an experienced Accounting Supervisor to lead day-to-day accounting activities and support timely monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes. This role will provide hands-on leadership while collaborating with the Accounting Manager and cross-functional partners.

The ideal candidate will have strong general ledger and close experience, solid U.S. GAAP knowledge, and a track record of coaching and developing an accounting team to drive process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, including general ledger and close.
• Strong understanding of reconciliations, journal entries, financial reporting, and accounting principles.
• Experience with SAP or another major ERP system preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate assigned monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities.
• Review journal entries, account reconciliations, supporting schedules, and general ledger activity.
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and analyses for complex accounts.
• Monitor the general ledger for unusual activity, errors, and incomplete transactions.
• Support internal financial statements and management reporting.
• Assist with intercompany accounting, fixed assets, accruals, and other accounting functions.
• Coordinate accounting activities across multiple entities, departments, and systems.
• Provide direction and workload coordination for accounting team members.
• Review work for accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
• Coach and develop accounting staff with constructive feedback.
• Train employees on accounting processes, controls, and documentation.
• Support performance management and hiring activities.
• Promote accountability and a service-oriented culture.
