Qualifications

• Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop a team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, mentor, and support staff across AP, general ledger, and tax activities.
• Prepare and review financial statements; support monthly and year-end closes.
• Analyze financial data and deliver insights for senior management decisions.
• Contribute to budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Coordinate annual audit and tax work to ensure compliance.

The Role

This is a great fit for an accounting professional who likes staying hands-on while also developing a team. You'll oversee corporate accounting functions including accounts payable, general ledger, and tax-related activities, while playing a key role in financial reporting, close, process improvement, and internal controls.

What You'll Do

• Supervise, mentor, and support accounting staff while overseeing AP, general ledger, and tax-related activities
• Prepare and review financial statements and support monthly and year-end close for timely, accurate, compliant reporting
• Analyze financial data and deliver insights that inform senior management's decisions
• Contribute to budgeting and forecasting
• Coordinate and execute annual audit and tax work, supporting compliance with applicable requirements
• Review and strengthen accounting procedures and internal controls
• Support financial analysis and special projects, including ROI and other business analyses

What You Bring

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with at least 3 years in public accounting, OR at least 4 years of progressive private/corporate accounting experience; candidates with an undergraduate degree in another field and at least 6 years of progressive private/corporate accounting experience will also be considered
• At least one year in a supervisory role preferred
• Strong working knowledge of GAAP and corporate accounting practices
• Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop a team
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with sharp attention to detail
• Comfort managing multiple priorities and deadlines with sound judgment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, and accounting systems

Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m.
