Job summary

Orion Placement is seeking an Accounting Supervisor to lead a team of accounting professionals in a fully remote role across the United States. You will mentor accountants, review statements, and ensure timely, accurate close.

Candidates must have 5+ years progressive accounting experience, 2+ years supervisory experience, a CPA/CAS background or multi-client setting, and expert QuickBooks Online. Strong communication and Excel skills are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• 2+ years of direct supervisory experience managing accounting professionals.
• Experience in a multi-client accounting environment (CPA/CAS helpful).
• Expert proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO) for statements and close.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and support accounting professionals, providing guidance and development.
• Review financial statements, balance sheet reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Manage team workloads, prioritize deadlines, and ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Serve as a trusted resource for clients, addressing complex accounting questions.

Note

Candidates must have 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 2+ years of direct supervisory experience, a background in a CPA firm, Client Accounting Services (CAS), or another multi-client accounting environment, and expert-level QuickBooks Online experience. Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• 2+ years of direct supervisory experience managing accounting professionals and reviewing their work.
• Experience in a CPA firm, CAS firm, outsourced accounting firm, or comparable multi-client accounting environment.
• Expert proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO), including financial statement reviews, balance sheet reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets.
• QuickBooks Online certification and a bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field are preferred.
• Experience with small-business advisory services or law firm accounting is a plus.
