Job summary

LeoForce is actively seeking an Accounting Supervisor in Simsbury, CT to oversee core accounting operations and lead a high-performing team. This role focuses on the close process, internal controls, and continuous improvements across the financial function.

You will mentor staff, partner with cross-functional teams, and drive accurate reporting for management and stakeholders. The position offers visibility to leadership and opportunities to influence controls and processes in a growth-oriented

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Leadership or supervisory experience (direct or indirect).
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• CPA or CPA-track preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and financials.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls.
• Oversee general ledger activity, accruals, and estimates.
• Support audit activities (internal & external).
• Supervise, train, and develop accounting staff.
• Identify and implement process improvements and efficiencies.
• Partner cross-functionally to support reporting and financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
• Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and financials
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls
• Oversee general ledger activity, accruals, and estimates
• Support audit activities (internal & external)
• Supervise, train, and develop accounting staff
• Identify and implement process improvements and efficiencies
• Partner cross-functionally to support reporting and financial analysis

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5–7+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience (direct or indirect)
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls
• Advanced Excel skills
• CPA or CPA-track preferred
• Public accounting background is a plus
