Job summary

Meyn America, a global leader in poultry processing technology, seeks an Accounting Specialist Intern/Temporary Associate to support the Accounts Receivable and Collections team in a six-month assignment. Potential to transition into full-time if relocation to Westminster, SC is possible.

You will assist with invoicing, AR collections, cash receipts, reporting, and balance sheet reconciliations, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve processes.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to learn new systems quickly.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and initiative.
• Interest in developing a long-term career in accounting and finance.

Responsibilities

• Assist with customer invoicing and invoice entry into customer portals.
• Support accounts receivable collections activities and follow up on outstanding balances.
• Help review and process cash receipts, including checks, ACH, and wires.
• Assist with accounts receivable reporting and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Investigate billing inquiries and help resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
• Provide support during month-end close activities and audit prep.
• Collaborate with accounting, sales, and operations teams to ensure efficient processes.
