Meyers Heating & Air Conditioning in Boulder, CO is seeking an Accounting Specialist to join our team. This in-office role offers a path to develop payroll and accounts payable skills while maintaining accurate financial records and timely processing.

You’ll work closely with accounting and operations to ensure invoices, purchase orders and payroll data are correct, while taking ownership of tasks and solving discrepancies. Some remote day possible weekly after training.

Qualifications

• Experience with accounts payable, bookkeeping or accounting support.
• Payroll experience is strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with Excel and QuickBooks required.
• Ability to manage deadlines and maintain accurate records.
• Experience in service/construction or job-costing environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable and code vendor invoices.
• Match purchase orders to vendor invoices and investigate discrepancies.
• Maintain vendor records and supporting documentation.
• Process weekly payroll accurately and on time.
• Initiate and submit documentation for installation rebates.
• Assist with registering equipment and extended warranties.
• Coordinate and monitor vendor credits for warranties.
• Review and reconcile completed work orders for accuracy.
• Reconcile accounting records, reports and supporting files.
• Communicate with vendors and internal teams to resolve discrepancies.
• Support month-end close and other deadlines.
