Job summary

Meyers Heating & Air Conditioning is seeking an Accounting Specialist to join our Boulder team. This role focuses on accuracy, initiative and ownership, handling accounts payable, payroll data and vendor documentation.

You will collaborate with accounting and operations to keep records accurate and timely. Prior payroll experience is a plus, and the position offers in-office work with potential for one remote day per week.

Qualifications

• Experience with accounts payable, bookkeeping or accounting support.
• Comfortable working in QuickBooks.
• Proficient with Excel and data-focused work.
• Strong data-entry skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Willingness to learn and take ownership of tasks.
• Payroll processing experience is a plus, not required.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable, including reviewing, coding and entering vendor invoices.
• Match purchase orders to vendor invoices and investigate discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate vendor records and supporting documentation.
• Process weekly payroll by gathering, reviewing and entering payroll data.
• Register equipment and extended warranties as needed.
• Coordinate and monitor vendor credits for warranties.
• Reconcile completed work orders to ensure accuracy of information and costs.
• Review invoices for accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
• Keep organized accounting records and spreadsheets.
• Communicate with vendors and internal teams to obtain missing information.
