Job summary

DOWL is seeking an Accounting Specialist in Billings, MT to manage invoicing, cash receipts, project reporting, and system setup in Deltek Vantagepoint. You’ll collaborate with Project Managers to ensure timely billing and accurate financial data, while supporting audits and month-end processes.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, strong communication, and the ability to work independently within our corporate shared services finance team.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of accounting experience.
• Accounting degree preferred.
• Experience in architecture/engineering/construction environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares monthly invoice and related reports.
• Assists Project Managers with client invoicing questions and collection.
• Researches cash receipts, coding, and posting of receipts.
• Prepares remote bank deposit.
• Assists Project Managers with project coordination including system setup and document management.
• Reviews monthly financial project reporting for revenue recognition and invoicing.
• Provide back-up assistance to other accounting technicians.
• Assist with audit preparation.
