PrincePerelson & Associates is seeking an experienced Accounting & Payroll Specialist to manage multi-state payroll and support the Controller with accounting operations, financial reporting, and employee benefits administration. This is a 100% on-site role in Salt Lake City with opportunity for growth.

The ideal candidate will have 5–10 years of accounting and payroll experience, be detail-oriented, and excel at collaboration.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of accounting experience including multi-state payroll
• Journal entries, accruals, general ledger maintenance and reconciliations
• Experience with payroll and accounting software
• Strong Microsoft Excel and computer skills
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing needs
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively

Responsibilities

• Prepare, enter, and post journal entries, including recurring entries and month-end adjustments
• Calculate and record accruals and assist with month-end closing activities
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts, maintain general ledger records, and research discrepancies
• Assist with financial reporting, account reconciliations, and other accounting projects
• Support the Controller with daily accounting operations and process improvements
• Independently process accurate and timely multi-state payroll
• Maintain employee payroll records, including salary changes and updates
• Assist with annual benefits open enrollment and 401(k) enrollments
• Respond to employee questions regarding payroll and benefits
