Balanced Office Solutions is looking for a super-organized, detail-obsessed Accounting + Operations Manager who loves systems, people, and getting sh*t done right. You’ll play a key role behind the scenes managing a set of clients as well as quality control and financial reviews, supporting our bookkeeping team, and keeping our founder focused and out of the weeds. If you're great at both numbers and operations, this hybrid role is for you.

What You’ll Do

Accounting/Quality Control:

  • Manage monthly financials for your own set of clients
  • Review another set of clients handled by our bookkeepers (quality control)
  • Run month-end and year-end closes
  • Answer questions and guide bookkeepers, offering support and (kind) feedback
  • Ensure compliance, accuracy, and useful reporting
  • Spot and solve inefficiencies in workflows

Executive/Operations Support:

  • Keep the founder organized and in her zone of genius
  • Manage calendar + inbox, keeping things streamlined
  • Help with client onboarding and communication
  • Organize SOPs and internal documentation
  • Coordinate hiring and onboarding new contractors
  • Keep projects, people, and priorities moving forward

Must-Haves (Non-Negotiables)
  • 5+ years of accounting/bookkeeping experience
  • Solid QuickBooks Online skills
  • Strong understanding of GAAP + compliance
  • Experience reviewing financials and managing month-end closes
  • Comfort leading and mentoring others
  • Operational experience or strong admin/OBM background
  • Proactive, organized, and excellent at follow-through
  • Great communicator—clear, respectful, direct
  • Comfortable managing priorities without micromanagement
  • Trustworthy and loyal with a long-term mindset
Bonus If You Have
  • CPA or similar credentials
  • Experience working with small and mid-sized businesses
  • Systems/ops experience or online business management training
