Qualifications

• Public accounting experience required; Big 4 or large regional firm preferred.
• Corporate accounting experience in a private or high-growth company.
• 5-7+ years of progressive accounting experience including management responsibilities.
• Hands-on ASC 606 and revenue recognition experience.
• Experience with international entities and multi-entity accounting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own month-end close and day-to-day accounting operations across GL, AP, fixed assets, payroll, cash, and related functions.
• Lead revenue accounting activities under ASC 606 and oversee international entities and multi-entity consolidations.
• Identify and implement AI, automation, workflows, and technology to streamline accounting processes.
• Evaluate and improve accounting processes and systems for efficiency and scalability.
• Establish and enhance internal controls in preparation for a more mature, SOX-ready environment.
• Prepare and oversee financial reporting with meaningful accounting analysis for leadership.
• Collaborate with FP&A on monthly reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Coordinate annual audit and support tax compliance; serve as main contact for auditors and advisors.
• Develop accounting KPIs to monitor function effectiveness.
• Take on special projects as the company grows.

Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join the Finance & Accounting organization and play a key role in strengthening and scaling the company's accounting function.

This is a hands-on position with broad exposure across the accounting organization, including month-end close, general ledger, revenue recognition, international entities, financial reporting, internal controls, and accounting operations. A major component of the role will be identifying opportunities to use AI, automation, and technology to streamline processes, reduce manual work, and improve accuracy.

The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in public accounting, meaningful corporate accounting experience, and a proven ability to improve processes while working in a rapidly evolving environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and manage the month-end close and day-to-day accounting operations across the general ledger, AP, fixed assets, payroll, cash, and related functions.
• Lead revenue accounting activities, including ASC 606, and oversee accounting for international entities and multi-entity consolidations.
• Identify and implement opportunities to leverage AI, automation, workflows, and emerging technology within the accounting function.
• Evaluate existing accounting processes and systems and implement improvements that increase efficiency, scalability, and accuracy.
• Establish and enhance internal controls in preparation for a more mature, SOX-ready control environment.
• Prepare and oversee financial reporting while providing meaningful accounting analysis to Finance and senior leadership.
• Partner closely with FP&A and other Finance stakeholders on monthly reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and budget-to-actual analysis.
• Coordinate the annual audit and support tax compliance, serving as a key point of contact for external auditors and advisors.
• Develop accounting metrics and KPIs to monitor the effectiveness of the function.
• Take on special projects and other initiatives as the company continues to grow and evolve.

Key Qualifications

• Public accounting experience required; Big 4 or a large regional accounting firm strongly preferred.
• Corporate accounting experience within a private or high-growth company required.
• 5-7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including management-level responsibilities.
• Hands-on experience with ASC 606 and revenue recognition.
• Experience working with NetSuite,inventory/COGS, and/or close-management systems.
• Demonstrated ability to use automation, AI tools, workflows, or technology to improve accounting processes.
• Experience with international entities and/or multi-entity accounting preferred.
• Experience supporting audits and tax compliance.
• Background in a high-growth technology, consumer, hardware, DTC, or physical-product business is a plus.
• Comfortable working in a demanding, fast-moving environment and taking ownership without needing extensive direction.
