The Opportunity

Our client is in a state of hypergrowth, scaling rapidly and redefining their industry through AI-driven solutions. As the first Accounting Manager on the team, you won't just be managing the books—you will be the architect of the firm's global accounting infrastructure. Reporting directly to the Controller, this is a hands‑on leadership role for a technical expert who thrives on simplifying complexity, leveraging automation, and building “best‑in‑class” processes from the ground up.

The Mission

• Build the Foundation: Design and oversee all core accounting functions, including the month‑end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and full‑cycle financial statement preparation.
• System Architecture: Implement scalable financial systems and internal controls. You will lead the transition from early‑stage workflows to robust, audit‑ready policies.
• Technical Leadership: Serve as the subject matter expert for technical accounting (ASC 606 Revenue Recognition, ASC 842, and Stock‑Based Comp).
• Operational Excellence: Modernize the Procure‑to‑Pay process, optimizing vendor onboarding, purchase approvals, and spend visibility.
• Strategic Growth: Partner cross‑functionally with the broader Finance and Ops teams to automate workflows and provide data‑driven insights that inform executive decision‑making.

The Profile

• Experience: 6‑8+ years of progressive accounting experience. A mix of Big Four public accounting and high‑growth SaaS/Tech experience is highly preferred.
• Credentials: Active CPA and a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Technical Depth: Mastery of US GAAP and the ability to draft technical memos for complex areas.
• The Tech Stack: High fluency with modern accounting software (NetSuite, QuickBooks) and SaaS billing tools. Stripe/Billing experience and SQL skills are significant advantages.
• The Startup Mindset: You are comfortable with ambiguity, move at “rocket speed,” and have a passion for using AI and technology to eliminate manual work.
