Job summary

Hire With Jarvis, a recruitment partner for a manufacturing and building products company, seeks an Accounting Manager to own day-to-day accounting and lead a four-person team. This hands-on role reports to the CEO and collaborates with leadership to keep books accurate and accountable, on-site in Oakmont, PA.

You’ll oversee AP/AR/GL, close processes, and financial reporting, while driving process improvements and ensuring timely, accurate financials.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on general accounting experience.
• Experience supervising or leading an accounting team.
• Solid knowledge of AP, AR, GL, balance sheet, P&L and reconciliations.
• Experience in manufacturing accounting is preferred.
• Experience working with an ERP system.
• Infor XA experience is a major plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee a four-person accounting team, including two Accountants, AP, AR, and a Special Projects Accountant.
• Own day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, cash, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Oversee month-end and year-end close processes and financial reporting.
• Review and maintain accurate P&L and balance sheet activity.
• Coordinate tax, audit, and other external accounting requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and accountability.
• Ensure the accounting team stays organized and on top of financial activities throughout the year.
• Provide hands-on support and guidance when complex accounting matters require additional attention.

We’re partnering with an established manufacturing and building products organization to find an Accounting Manager who can take meaningful ownership of the day-to-day accounting function. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who is equally comfortable managing people and getting into the details of the books.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and oversee a four-person accounting team, including two Accountants, AP, AR, and a Special Projects Accountant

What We’re Looking For

The right person will bring a strong general accounting foundation along with proven experience leading an accounting team.

• Strong hands-on general accounting experience
• Experience supervising or leading an accounting team
• Strong knowledge of AP, AR, GL, balance sheet, P&L, and account reconciliations
• Previous manufacturing accounting experience
• Experience working with an ERP system
• Infor XA experience is a major plus
• A practical, detail-oriented approach to accounting and problem solving
• The ability to balance leadership responsibilities with hands-on execution
• A stable career history and a track record of taking ownership

Compensation & Employment Details

• $130,000 USD base salary, with flexibility for an exceptionally strong candidate
• Full-time, permanent employment

• Primarily on-site in Oakmont, Pennsylvania, Monday through Friday
• Some flexibility is available for occasional appointments or personal needs, but this is not intended to be a regular hybrid position
• Benefits information is currently TBD and will be discussed during the hiring process
• The interview process includes conversations with HR, the CEO, and an Accounting Consultant, along with a Predictive Index (PI) Assessment
