Job summary

Creative Financial Staffing, LLC is seeking an Accounting Manager for a Connecticut manufacturer with international backing. You will own the general ledger, close process, and financial reporting, reporting directly to the VP of Finance and HR, with succession planning to grow the team.

Responsibilities include supervising the Transactional Accountant, managing inventory accounting, WIP, COGS analyses, and coordinating audits with outside auditors and our UK parent company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including close and financial reporting ownership.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and account reconciliations.
• Manufacturing, inventory, and cost accounting experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own the general ledger and month-end/year-end close process.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, management reports, and variance analyses.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash application, and collections.
• Manage inventory accounting, WIP reconciliation, and cost of goods sold analysis.
• Coordinate the annual audit, tax preparation, and outside accountant requests.
• Train and supervise the Transactional Accountant.
