Job summary

Hire With Jarvis, a recruitment partner for a manufacturing and building products company, seeks an Accounting Manager to own day-to-day accounting and lead a four-person team. This hands-on role reports to the CEO and collaborates with leadership to keep books accurate and accountable, on-site in Oakmont, PA.

You’ll oversee AP/AR/GL, close processes, and financial reporting, while driving process improvements and ensuring timely, accurate financials.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on general accounting experience.
• Experience supervising or leading an accounting team.
• Solid knowledge of AP, AR, GL, balance sheet, P&L and reconciliations.
• Experience in manufacturing accounting is preferred.
• Experience working with an ERP system.
• Infor XA experience is a major plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee a four-person accounting team, including two Accountants, AP, AR, and a Special Projects Accountant.
• Own day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, cash, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Oversee month-end and year-end close processes and financial reporting.
• Review and maintain accurate P&L and balance sheet activity.
• Coordinate tax, audit, and other external accounting requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and accountability.
• Ensure the accounting team stays organized and on top of financial activities throughout the year.
• Provide hands-on support and guidance when complex accounting matters require additional attention.
