CFS in Connecticut is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead the full accounting function, reporting directly to the VP of Finance. This is a true leadership role with succession planning to support growth.

You will own the general ledger, month-end close, and financial reporting, supervise a Transactional Accountant, and interface with auditors and our UK parent company to optimize ERP use. This is a hands-on, visibility-driven opportunity for impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (preferred).
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with close and financial reporting ownership.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and account reconciliations.
• Manufacturing, inventory, and cost accounting experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Own the general ledger and month-end close process.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and variance analyses.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash application, and collections.
• Manage inventory accounting, WIP reconciliation, and COGS analysis.
• Coordinate the annual audit, tax preparation, and outside accountant requests.
• Train and supervise the Transactional Accountant.
