Job summary

Blackbird Health is seeking an ambitious Accounting Manager to support our growing Finance team. You will own day-to-day general ledger operations, manage month-end close, multi-entity consolidations, and intercompany activities while partnering with cross-functional leaders to build out our modern accounting architecture.

You will work in a fast-paced, multi-state environment, contributing to ERP implementations and audit readiness.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of progressive experience in general ledger accounting, public accounting, or financial operations in a high-growth, multi-state startup environment.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Solid technical knowledge of US GAAP, multi-entity consolidations, complex journal entries, and variance analysis.
• Hands-on experience with modern cloud accounting systems (NetSuite, QuickBooks) and spend platforms (Ramp, Bill Direct).

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day general ledger operations, including journal entry preparation, flux analysis, multi-entity consolidations, balance sheet reconciliations, and full-cycle accounts payable management.
• Support ERP implementations and drive audit readiness and internal control development.
• Lead month-end close workflows and intercompany eliminations.
• Perform monthly variance (flux) analysis and partner with FP&A for leadership insights.
• Collaborate across Finance and cross-functional teams to scale financial processes.
