Job summary

Blackbird Health seeks an ambitious Accounting Manager to support our growing Finance team. Reporting to the Director of Accounting, you will own day-to-day general ledger operations, oversee multi-entity consolidations, and drive month-end close in a fast-paced, multi-state environment.

You’ll partner with Finance and cross-functional leaders on ERP implementation and audit readiness, while building scalable processes and ensuring GAAP-compliant financial reporting.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial operations in a multi-state startup environment.
• 0
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance; CPA is a strong plus.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, multi-entity consolidations, complex journal entries, and variance analysis.
• Hands-on experience with modern cloud accounting systems (NetSuite, QuickBooks) and spend platforms (Ramp, Bill.com, Rippling).
• Direct exposure to ERP implementation projects and external financial audit preparation.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end month-end close and journal entries.
• Perform detailed monthly variance (flux) analysis with FP&A.
• Manage full-cycle Accounts Payable and vendor onboarding.
• Support ERP system implementation and audit readiness.
• Collaborate with Finance and People teams on cross-functional projects.
