Job summary

Blackbird Health is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead day-to-day general ledger operations, balance sheet reconciliations, and full-cycle accounts payable within a fast-growing, multi-state startup.

You will partner with Finance and cross-functional leaders to build out modern accounting architecture, support ERP implementation, and drive audit readiness in a dynamic environment while maintaining strong internal controls and accuracy.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of progressive experience in general ledger accounting or financial operations.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance (CPA a plus).
• Solid knowledge of US GAAP, multi-entity consolidations, and variance analysis.
• Hands-on experience with modern cloud accounting systems and spend platforms (NetSuite, QuickBooks, Ramp, Bill.com, Rippling).

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end month-end close, multi-entity consolidations, intercompany eliminations, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare and review complex journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and flux analysis.
• Support ERP implementation projects and audit readiness.
• Collaborate with FP&A and cross-functional leaders across Finance and Operations.
