Job summary

Henderson Group Recruiting is seeking a seasoned accounting supervisor to oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close, internal reporting, and analyses. You will supervise associates, ensure GL integrity, and support auditors while driving process improvements.

The role requires 7+ years of accounting experience with supervisory responsibility, strong GAAP/SOX knowledge, and excellence in Excel. Collaboration across departments and flexibility to meet deadlines are essential.

Qualifications

• 7+ years accounting experience with supervisory background in a high-volume environment.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and SOX compliance.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and strong interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Excel; Access experience preferred.
• Ability to lead teams through change and meet strict deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Supervise associates, including staffing, training, coaching and performance management.
• Supervise and participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close.
• Perform and/or review complex accounting reconciliations and analysis.
• Direct activities of GL, vendor billing, cash reconciliation, fixed assets, and CAPEX accounting.
• Provide strategic recommendations for process improvements and efficient use of resources.
• Lead teams through change and maintain GL integrity.
• Ensure transactions occur within a sound internal control environment.
• Perform financial analysis as required.
• Prepare ad hoc reports and complete special projects.
• Review schedules for internal/external auditors; support audits.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
