Job summary

Job Juncture is seeking an experienced accounting leader in Atlanta to supervise and optimize a high-volume close, GL, and reporting processes. The role focuses on accuracy, internal controls, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will guide teams through change, maintain audit readiness, and deliver insightful analyses and ad hoc reports to support strategic decisions. A CPA/MBA and SAP experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• 7+ years accounting experience, including supervisory experience in a high-volume transaction environment.
• Strong understanding and application of GAAP.
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams through change positively.
• Working knowledge and analytical skills to make independent judgments in relation to complex accounting processes and the business.
• Strong computer and analytical skills with high proficiency in Excel and working knowledge of Access.

Responsibilities

• Supervise associates, including staffing, training, coaching, performance management, and problem resolution.
• Supervise and participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close for company.
• Perform and/or review complex accounting reconciliation and analysis.
• Direct activities of teams responsible for general ledger accounting, vendor billing, cash reconciliation, fixed assets, and related capital expenditure accounting.
• Provide strategic recommendations for process improvements and efficient use of resources.
• Effectively lead team(s) through change.
• Maintain integrity of the general ledger and internal control environment.
• Prepare ad hoc reports, conduct analyses, and complete special projects as required.
• Recommend and ensure adherence to accounting policies.
• Prepare and review schedules for internal/external auditors in connection with reviews/audits.
• Perform other related duties as assigned
