Job summary

Essenti Talent is seeking an experienced accounting leader in Atlanta to supervise monthly, quarterly, and annual closes, manage internal reporting, and oversee teams in GL, vendor billing, cash reconciliation, and fixed assets. You will guide process improvements, ensure internal controls, and support auditors.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years in accounting with supervisory experience, strong GAAP/SOX knowledge, and a CPA and/or MBA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or related field.
• 7+ years in accounting, with supervisory experience in a high-volume environment.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and SOX controls.
• CPA and/or MBA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise associates, including staffing, training, coaching, performance management, and problem resolution.
• Supervise and participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close for the company.
• Perform and/or review complex accounting reconciliation and analysis.
• Direct activities of teams responsible for general ledger accounting, vendor billing, cash reconciliation, fixed assets, and related capital expenditure accounting.
• Provide strategic recommendations for process improvements and efficient use of resources.
• Effectively lead team(s) through change.
• Maintain integrity of the general ledger.
• Ensure transactions are performed within a sound internal control environment.
• Perform financial analysis as required.
• Prepare various ad hoc reports, conduct analyses, and complete special projects as required.
• Recommend and ensure adherence to accounting policies.
• Prepare and review schedules for internal/external auditors in connection with reviews/audits.
• Perform other related duties as assigned
