Job summary

MPG Dover Ventura, California is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets and general ledger functions.

You will supervise the accounting team, ensure adherence to GAAP and SOX, manage month-end close, forecasting, budgeting and tax filings, and collaborate with stakeholders.

This onsite role includes competitive pay, benefits and a discretionary bonus based on performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field.
• 5+ years in a senior accounting or finance role, with at least 2 years in a managerial position.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and accounting principles.
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
• US person (US Citizen or Permanent Resident).

Responsibilities

• Supervise Accounts Payable specialist to ensure timely and accurate work.
• Supervise month-end closing process.
• Monthly forecasting and annual budgeting and related analysis.
• Monitor collection of sales/use tax and filings.
• Approve weekly pay runs and cash reconciliations.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to develop KPIs.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and SOX.
