Job summary

MPG delivers RF spectrum-centric solutions and supports civil, military, and commercial customers with ruggedized RF components and subsystems. The Accounting Manager oversees all accounting functions and leads the accounting team to ensure accuracy, process adherence, and strong internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (Master's degree or CPA preferred).
• Proven experience (5+ years) in a senior accounting or finance role, with at least 2 years in a managerial position.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and accounting principles.
• Experience with financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
• Must be a US person (US Citizen or Permanent Resident/Green Card Holder)

Responsibilities

• Supervise and work directly with Accounts Payable specialist to ensure that accounting responsibilities are being met timely and accurately
• Supervise month end closing process
• Monthly Forecasting and annual budgeting and related analysis
• Monitor collection of sales/use tax and associated filings
• Approve weekly pay runs and cash control reconciliations
• Collaborate with Key Stakeholders to develop and manage KPIs
• Ensures compliance with all accounting policies and processes
• Ensures compliance with all government contracting requirements
