Glydways in Richmond, CA is seeking an Accounting Manager to own the monthly close end-to-end, lead the accounting team, and support audit. The role is hands-on, fast-paced, and requires strong technical depth to resolve complex accounting questions independently.

You will manage ASC 606/718, fixed assets, international entities, and streamlining NetSuite-driven processes to drive audit readiness, while mentoring staff and coordinating with external auditors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Proven ability to supervise, review, or mentor accounting staff.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and ability to research technical issues independently.
• Demonstrated ownership of a full monthly close cycle.
• Advanced Excel skills and NetSuite proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly and quarterly close process, calendar, tasks, and timeline.
• Prepare and review journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Investigate variances and prepare monthly flux analyses for management.
• Maintain documentation to audit-ready standards and ensure GAAP compliance.
• Manage, mentor, and develop staff and senior accountants.
• Lead audit support and coordinate with external auditors.
