Job summary

K&L Microwave LLC in Salisbury, MD is seeking a Staff Accountant to support month-end close, inventory and cost accounting in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will collaborate with operations, purchasing, and production teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and internal controls.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, 2–5 years of accounting experience, and strong Excel/ERP proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 2–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Understanding of GAAP and basic cost accounting principles.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• CPA designation or progress toward CPA is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain general ledger journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
• Support inventory accounting, including cycle counts, inventory adjustments, and reconciliation of inventory accounts.
• Assist with cost accounting functions including labor, overhead allocation, and product costing analysis.
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, prepaid expenses, accruals, and fixed assets.
• Analyze manufacturing variances and provide explanations to management.
• Prepare financial reports and schedules for internal management review.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed.
• Support internal audits and compliance reporting; maintain internal controls.

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our growing manufacturing organization. The Staff Accountant will support the accounting team by maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with month-end close, inventory accounting, cost accounting support, and ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards. Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Compensation

Pay Range: USD 70000 - 75000 Annually. This position is eligible to earn a discretionary bonus based on performance metrics and other criteria outlined in our applicable bonus plan.
