Job summary

Element Fleet Management Corp. is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead the North American operational lease accounting portfolio.

You will drive the monthly close, ensure accuracy and controls, and guide a four-person team with strong collaboration across Finance and business partners. Ideal candidates will have a CPA, a solid foundation in GAAP/IFRS, and advanced Excel, plus experience with ERP systems and analytics tools such as SQL, Power BI, SAP, Snowflake, and BlackLine.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and CPA designation required.
• Progressive experience in accounting and financial reporting, including supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS in financial reporting.
• Experience managing month-end close and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Advanced Excel skills and ability to communicate across teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly financial close, journal entries, and timely reporting.
• Review balance sheet reconciliations and maintain SOX compliance.
• Analyze month-, quarter-, and year-end results with variance analysis for management insights.
• Lead and develop four accounting professionals and partner with cross-functional teams on initiatives.
• Drive process improvements and automation to enhance reporting quality and accuracy.
