Job summary

Element Fleet Management is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead the North American operational lease portfolio accounting, overseeing close, reporting, and compliance. You will guide a four-person team, strengthen controls, and partner across Finance and business groups to implement new initiatives.

The role requires CPA, a bachelor's in Accounting, and deep GAAP/IFRS knowledge, with preferred ERP/BI tools experience. Hybrid work arrangement in Owings Mills, MD or Minneapolis, MN.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and CPA required.
• Progressive accounting and financial reporting experience with leadership.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, and financial reporting principles.
• Experience with month-end close and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and cross-functional communication.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the monthly financial close, journal entries, and reporting.
• Strengthen balance sheet reconciliations and internal controls.
• Lead a team of four accounting professionals and coach on performance.
• Collaborate with Finance, Operations, Product, Technology on accounting implications of new initiatives.
• Drive process improvements and automation in reporting and reconciliations.
