Job summary

ghd North America is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting operations, month-end close, and balance sheet integrity. You will partner with Shared Service Centers and cross-functional teams to resolve issues, improve processes, and support growth.

The role requires strong technical accounting knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to balance priorities in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required; CPA preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in consumer products, retail, manufacturing, or distribution.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Experience supporting audits, internal controls, and compliance activities.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP/financial reporting systems; MSD preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
• Own balance sheet reconciliations, journal entry reviews, and month-end reporting support.
• Support internal controls, accounting policies, and compliance activities.
• Review and reconcile trade spend, deductions, accruals, and reserves for accuracy.
• Collaborate with Shared Service Centers and business leaders to resolve accounting and operational matters.
• Manage external and internal audit activities, including planning and issue resolution.
