Job summary

Element Fleet Management is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead the accounting activities for the North American operational lease portfolio, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with US GAAP and IFRS, and timely close processes.

You will mentor the team, partner with cross-functional groups on new initiatives, and drive process improvements and internal controls to support operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required).
• CPA designation.
• Progressive experience in accounting and financial reporting.
• Experience leading accounting professionals.
• Knowledge of US GAAP/IFRS and financial reporting.
• Experience with month-end close and reconciliations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the accounting team and ensure continuity of operations.
• Oversee the monthly close and journal entries for timeliness and accuracy.
• Review balance sheet reconciliations for completeness and internal controls (SOX).
• Analyze financial results and prepare management reporting for leadership.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on new products and initiatives with proper accounting treatment.
• Drive process improvements and automation to strengthen controls and efficiency.
