Job summary

NorthPoint Search Group is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including AP, AR, and the month-end close, while strengthening internal controls. The ideal candidate will lead the accounting team, apply technical accounting knowledge, and drive process improvements.

The role requires strong supervisory experience in a fast-paced environment, with a hands-on approach to developing people and improving workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience with supervisory responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger accounting, and month-end close processes.
• ERP system experience and proficiency in Microsoft Excel; Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations experience is a plus.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and leadership skills, with attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the full accounts payable cycle, including invoice processing, approvals, vendor payments, expense recording, and discrepancy resolution.
• Manage accounts receivable activities, including billing, cash application, collections, aging reviews, and credit and collection policies.
• Lead month-end and year-end close, including journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and accurate financial reporting in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
• Supervise and develop AP and AR team members through work assignments, quality reviews, coaching, training, and performance feedback.
• Strengthen internal controls, improve accounting workflows, and partner with sales and operations to resolve billing and payment issues.
