van den Boom & Associates LLC is seeking an Accounting Manager to join the internal operations team. You will oversee and review the work of Accounting Coordinators, manage close processes, payroll, AP, and financial reporting, and lead finance/accounting projects.

The role emphasizes coaching, process improvement, and system implementations to support a growing life sciences focused practice.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Progressive accounting experience, including reviewing others’ work (close, payroll, AP).
• Strong command of month-end close, payroll, accounts payable, and financial reporting.
• Advanced Excel skills (vlookups, pivot tables, formulas).
• Excellent communication and writing skills; detail-oriented.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsabilidades

• Review the work of Accounting Coordinators across day-to-day internal accounting functions, providing coaching and feedback.
• Review the month-end close, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery.
• Review payroll processing, including US payroll and Philippines payroll.
• Review accounts payable, ensuring transactions are properly recorded, approved, and paid.
• Prepare, review, and deliver internal financial reports to firm leadership.
• Maintain firm accounting records and ensure the integrity of the general ledger.
• Own special accounting projects and higher-complexity work.
• Identify, scope, and implement improvements to accounting processes and systems.
• Support system implementations and migrations, and help build repeatable workflows.
