Job summary

Brinks North America is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and compliance with US GAAP in a high-volume environment spanning cash logistics and transportation.

You will partner with field operations, finance leadership, and corporate teams to drive process improvements, oversee close cycles, and support audits across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting is required.
• CPA or MBA preferred.
• 6-10 years of progressive accounting experience in large, multi-location or service-based organizations is preferred.
• Experience in logistics, transportation, or cash-intensive businesses is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Review journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analyses (AP, AR, Prepaids, etc.).
• Oversee accounting for revenue recognition, cost of services, and operational expenses across multiple locations.
• Partner with operations teams to ensure proper accounting for cash logistics, vault services, and transportation activities.
• Monitor and improve processes around high-volume transactional environments.
• Fleet capitalization (trucks acquisition, sale lease back, repowers, etc.).
• Promote automation and continuous improvement in accounting processes.
• Support ERP and financial system enhancements (e.g., Great Plains, SAP, Oracle, or similar).
• Implement best practices to improve data accuracy and reporting speed.
• Maintain and enhance a strong internal control environment in compliance with SOX requirements.
