Job summary

Salesforce is seeking an Accounting Manager in the Global Accounting group to lead month-end close, review journal entries, ensure SOX compliance, and drive process improvements in a fast-paced environment. The role requires CPA or equivalent, prior management experience, and hands-on work with Workday Finance or Oracle ERP to support the 10Q/10K, audits, and financial reporting.

Qualifications

6+ years total experience in accounting and public accounting
CPA (or local equivalent)
Degree or equivalent relevant experience; experience evaluated on values and behaviors
Prior management experience within an accounting role
Experience with Workday Finance, Oracle or other large ERP
Intermediate/advanced Excel skills and ability to work with large volumes of data
Solid understanding of US GAAP and SOX
Ability to communicate effectively and influence cross-functional/remote teams

Responsibilities

Lead month-end close processes by reviewing journal entries and account reconciliations
Ensure compliance with US GAAP standards and SOX controls
Lead and prepare schedules to support 10Q and 10K filings
Coordinate with internal and external audit teams to support the audit
Identify and implement accounting process improvements
Manage and mentor the accounting team across locations
Drive special projects to completion
