Job summary

Salesforce is seeking an Accounting Manager within the Global Accounting group to lead ongoing accounting operations in a fast-paced environment. You will manage close processes, ensure SOX controls, and prepare schedules for audits and regulatory filings.

Ideal candidates have 6+ years of accounting experience, are proficient with Workday Finance and Oracle ERPs, and excel in cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of accounting experience including public accounting
• Degree or equivalent relevant experience; evaluated by values and behaviors
• Prior management experience in an accounting role
• Experience with Workday Finance, Oracle or other large ERP systems
• Intermediate/advanced Excel skills with large data sets
• Solid understanding of US GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley
• Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional and remote teams

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end close with variance analyses and oversight of journal entries and reconciliations
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Infrastructure, Information Technology, and Finance teams
• Ensure US GAAP standards, SOX controls and documentation are maintained
• Lead and prepare schedules to support the 10Q and 10K reporting process
• Apply ASC 350-40 and ASC 350-50 guidance to accounting for internal software and website costs
• Coordinate with internal and external audit teams and provide schedules and evidence
• Identify and implement continuous improvement of accounting processes including data reconciliation and reporting
• Lead a diverse team across locations and mentor team members
• Drive special projects to completion
