Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience with 2+ years supervising staff.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and external financial reporting.
• Proficiency with accounting/ERP software and advanced Excel.
• Hands-on experience with GL, month-end close, reconciliations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day accounting operations including AP, AR, GL, payroll, and reconciliations.
• Review and approve balance sheet reconciliations and journal entries.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements with variance analysis.
• Own revenue recognition, deferred revenue, accruals, prepaids, and fixed assets.
• Assist Controller with key financial controls and audit readiness.
• Support audit schedules and respond to auditor requests; remediate findings.
• Coordinate tax compliance and government reporting with Controller.
• Recommend process improvements and automate close within approved systems.
• Manage, train, and develop accounting staff; provide performance feedback.
• Support ad hoc analysis and reporting for leadership and sponsor.
