Job summary

Ledgent is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager in North Orange County, CA (onsite) to oversee day-to-day accounting operations and ensure timely financial reporting. This hands-on role requires GAAP knowledge, leadership, and the ability to drive process improvements in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will manage close processes, journal entries, reconciliations, internal controls, budgeting support, and audits, while mentoring staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Leadership experience in Accounting Manager or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience with month-end close and reconciliations.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems and accounting software.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and cash management.
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.
• Analyze financial data and investigate account variances.
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls and accounting procedures.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities.
• Coordinate external audits and assist with tax compliance.
• Monitor cash flow and banking activity.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency.
• Partner with operational leaders to support business objectives.
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff.
