Job summary

Jobot is seeking an Accounting Manager in Houston to own day-to-day close, reporting, and controls for a growing business unit. You will lead a Senior Accountant, partner with the Plant Controller, and report to the Controller in a high-performing, publicly traded environment.

You will manage month-end close, ensure accurate financial statements and policies, and drive improvements across locations. CPA preferred; manufacturing experience is a strong plus.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience with ownership of close and financial reporting.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and internal controls for a public company.
• Experience with public company reporting, internal controls, and audit support.
• ERP and financial reporting system experience (Oracle, SAP, OneStream, Hyperion).
• Advanced Excel skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Own month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close and corporate reporting packages.
• Review journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and reserves.
• Maintain internal controls and support internal/external audits.
• Coordinate with Plant Controller and operations to resolve accounting issues.
• Drive process improvements and ERP enhancement initiatives.
