Job summary

Solve Industrial Motion Group is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead the month-end and year-end close, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting. You will supervise the accounting team, own policies, and drive process improvements across multiple locations, with a focus on GAAP compliance, inventory and cost accounting.

The role requires CPA certification, 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, and 1+ years of people management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field.
• Active CPA license required.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• 1+ years of people management experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and the ability to research, evaluate, document, and communicate accounting conclusions.
• Meaningful experience with inventory and cost accounting.
• Working knowledge of tax matters and experience supporting tax accounting activities.
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 30%.

Responsibilities

• Lead key aspects of monthly and year-end close, ensuring accurate and timely journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting reviews.
• Review balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules across key accounts; handle high-risk areas.
• Own general accounting processes and policies, ensuring GAAP compliance.
• Identify and implement process improvements, automation opportunities, and system enhancements.
• Lead and develop Accounting Team members with clear responsibilities and deadlines.
• Play a key role in mergers and acquisitions, including purchase accounting and post-close integration.
• Coordinate with acquired businesses for consolidation of financial information.
• Prepare and review ad hoc analyses and technical accounting research as needed.
• Support tax compliance and coordination with external resources.
• Assist with external audits and ERP/system initiatives.
