NorthPoint Search Group is seeking a hands-on Director of Accounting in Houston to lead monthly close, GAAP compliance, and financial controls within a manufacturing environment.

With 7–10 years of progressive accounting experience and strong leadership, you will partner with senior leadership to improve processes, support audits, and drive strategic initiatives to strengthen the financial organization.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong GAAP knowledge.
• CPA is a plus.
• Experience in manufacturing or similar industries preferred.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP and internal policies.
• Manage general ledger, reporting, and financial controls.
• Collaborate with operations and leadership on business strategy.
• Support audits and oversee internal control frameworks.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements.
