Simply Business is seeking a highly technical Accounting Manager to lead month-end close, ensure data integrity, and optimize internal controls within a fast-growing digital insurance brokerage. You will partner with the finance team to drive accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across reporting, audits, and cash management.

The role requires a CPA and 7+ years of experience in finance, with strong collaboration and communication skills. A hybrid work model and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant finance experience.
• Proven ability to guide operational workflows and collaborate across functions.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and close processes.
• Experience with internal controls and risk mitigation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Month-End Process ensuring timely, accurate financial reporting.
• Coordinate with Accounts Payable and Accountant on day-to-day operations.
• Review and approve complex journals and balance sheets.
• Prepare for year-end audits and liaise with external auditors.
• Drive internal control improvements and automation initiatives.
• Oversee treasury functions and short-term cash forecasting.
• Provide ad hoc financial modeling to support growth.
