Job summary

Steadily Insurance Company in Austin, TX is hiring an Accounting Manager to own the close, build the next-generation accounting function at a fast-growing P&C MGA, and use AI to make accounting faster, cleaner, and more scalable. You’ll report to our CFO, work with senior leadership, and shape processes around contract revenue, commissions, and revenue recognition.

This role emphasizes building scalable systems over routine processing.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in-house at a fast-growing company.
• CPA strongly preferred or actively progressing toward it.
• Revenue accounting depth: commission revenue, SaaS revenue, ASC 606, MGA/broker accounting.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial statements.
• Comfortable wearing many hats and building processes where none exist.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Manage multi-carrier commission revenue accounting and ASC 606 treatments.
• Build with AI to shorten close cycles and automate reconciliations.
• Oversee AP, AR, payroll-related entries and related systems/processes.
• Lead audit preparation and support external audits.
• Provide financial analysis and insights to CFO and leadership.
