Job summary

CLEAR is building the secure identity company of the future. The Manager, Accounting will drive the monthly, quarterly, and annual close, ensuring accurate records and strong internal controls under US GAAP.

You will collaborate across Finance, Payroll, Legal, and Operations to resolve complex accounting matters and support audits. You will implement process improvements with AI and automation while ensuring SOX compliance and audit readiness.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of accounting experience with strong U.S. GAAP knowledge.
• Solid understanding of SOX controls and financial reporting.
• Ability to communicate financial information clearly to accounting and non‑accounting stakeholders.
• Interest in AI, automation, and emerging technologies to improve processes.

Responsibilities

• Own key general ledger activities across monthly, quarterly, and annual close cycles, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Prepare and review journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and flux analyses across assets, accruals, payroll, cash, and investments.
• Partner with Finance, Payroll, Legal, and Operations to resolve complex accounting matters and support reporting and audits.
• Identify and implement process improvements, leveraging AI, automation, and system enhancements to streamline workflows.
