Job summary

CFS, based in Wisconsin, is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting operations, lead the accounting team, and partner with executive leadership on strategic initiatives.

The role focuses on improving close processes, ensuring GAAP compliance, and delivering timely financial reporting. A strong candidate will have 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, CPA/CMA credentials preferred, and proficiency with ERP systems and Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with leadership responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience managing month-end close and financial statement preparation.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
• CPA, CMA, or public accounting experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and account reconciliations.
• Manage the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Prepare and review financial statements and management reports.
• Lead, mentor, and develop accounting staff.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Coordinate with external auditors and assist with audit requests.
• Partner with leadership to provide financial insights and support key business decisions.
