Qualifications

Compensation: $27-$33 per hour / $56,160 - $68,640 per year

*The Accounting Manager reports to the Director of Finance and serves our nonprofit clients.*

Duties May Include, But Are Not Limited To
  1. Periodic reconciliation including compilation, analysis, reporting, and ledger maintenance.
  2. Train junior accounting staff and delegate administrative tasks.
  3. Oversee, implement, and maintain accounting systems, procedures, and policies.
  4. Work with clients and external auditors to maintain information.
  5. Maintain accounts and databases using QuickBooks Online or other software.
  6. Monitor records of assets, liabilities, and other financial transactions.
  7. Perform all basic accounting procedures, including financial statements, month-end closing, journal entries, and GL maintenance, inventory accrual, fixed assets, and margin analysis, and produce financial statements.
  8. Review, analyze, and reconcile general ledger accounts and investment transactions as required.
  9. Identify complex problems to develop solutions.
  10. Perform analysis of operations and develop SOPs, if requested.
  11. Communicate with clients and Nonprofit Resources staff in a timely manner.
  12. Liaison with internal and client leadership as needed.
  13. Learn, understand, and accurately use a variety of software programs.
  14. Perform accurate data entry/maintenance in a variety of systems and tools.
  15. Attend client meetings if required.
  16. Maintain digital backup files.
  17. Prioritize projects and tasks, seeking clarification on priorities as needed.
  18. Attend staff meetings and prepare information as requested.
  19. Maintain daily online time-keeping records, categorized by client and project.
  20. Other duties as assigned.

  2. High attention to detail; ability to take direction, self-check, and follow up on work.
  3. Ability to enter accurate financial/numerical data.
  4. Analytic and critical problem-solving skills.

  6. Ability to shift gears and manage varied tasks in order of priority.
  7. Ability to manage a virtual work environment and drive workload independently.
  8. Willingness to learn and grow in duties, skills, and responsibility.
  9. Responsiveness: track tasks and respond in a timely manner.
Required Qualifications
  1. Excellent digital and online platform skills including MS Office, MS Teams, QuickBooks Online, Adobe, and others.
  2. Ability to apply discretion and comply with confidentiality policies.
  3. Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. 5+ years of accounting experience.
  2. Secondary education in accounting or finance.
