Job summary

LHH is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead a high-performing accounting team responsible for asset accounting, capital project accounting, and financial reporting support activities. This role combines people leadership, process oversight, and hands-on accounting review.

The ideal candidate has a solid GAAP foundation, experience leading teams, and the ability to partner across departments to solve complex accounting issues.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Strong foundation in GAAP and general ledger accounting.
  • Prior leadership experience managing accounting teams.
  • Experience reviewing complex accounting transactions and financial reporting deliverables.
  • Strong Excel and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of accounting professionals across multiple experience levels.
  • Oversee accounting activities related to fixed assets, capital expenditures, and long-term projects.
  • Review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting schedules.
  • Ensure timely and accurate month-end close activities.
  • Maintain strong internal control processes and compliance standards.
  • Partner with finance, operations, project leaders, and other business stakeholders on accounting matters.
  • Analyze complex transactions and provide accounting guidance.
  • Improve accounting processes, workflows, and documentation.
  • Support external audit requests and other reporting requirements.
  • Manage team priorities, workload balancing, and professional development.
