Job summary

HRB is seeking an Accounting Operations & Systems Manager in Tysons Corner to own the backbone of our finance tech stack. You will manage ERP configurations, controls, and automation enabling scalable close processes and reliable data.

You will partner across finance, engineering, and ops to deploy new tools, document workflows, and build a controls framework for leadership. This role emphasizes ownership and cross-functional collaboration in a fast-growing environment.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years in accounting operations, finance systems, or an accounting-adjacent role.
• BS in Accounting required; CPA preferred.
• PMO experience; PMP certified.

• Own roadmap, sequencing, and delivery of systems and process projects.
• Drive and manage the global expansion of accounting and finance functions during rapid growth.
• Design and document accounting workflows, controls, and policies.
• Partner with finance, engineering, and ops to source and implement new tools and processes.

Accounting Operations & Systems Manager

The Accounting Operations Manager will build and run the operational backbone of the finance function. You'll own the systems, workflows, and controls that sit underneath our accounting work – making sure close runs smoothly, data is reliable, and the team can scale without adding headcount proportionally.

This role is for someone who sees process as leverage. You should be equally comfortable in the weeds of an ERP configuration and presenting controls framework to leadership.

Role Overview

• Own roadmap, sequencing, and delivery of systems and process projects — including intake, scoping, and milestones
• Drive and manage the global expansion of accounting and finance functions during rapid company growth
• Design and document accounting workflows, controls, and policies
• Partner with finance, engineering, and ops to source and implement new tools and processes as the business grows
• Drive automation across the accounting and finance function, from operations to reporting
• Build audit readiness infrastructure
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks in how accounting work gets done

Desired Experience/Qualifications

• 5-10years in accounting operations, finance systems, or an accounting-adjacent role
• BS in Accounting required
• CPA preferred
• PMO experience; PMP certified
• International experience — including multi-entity and multi-currency configuration
• Hands-on experience with ERP administration, ideally NetSuite or Sage Intacct
• Strong understanding of GAAP and how accounting principles translate into system design
• Track record of building processes and controls in a fast-moving environment
• Analytically sharp - able to think in systems, not just tasks
• Comfortable working across technical and non-technical teams
• High ownership orientation; you treat the accounting infrastructure as yours to improve
